Riverrest is a very small, quaint village near Orma’aiqua, inhabited by unusually small human-like folk.
The people of Riverrest are not dwarves, gnomes, or halflings. They are simply smaller human-like folk, and they do not appear to be magical.
The village does not seem to grow much over generations. Its families tend to have only a child or a few, and Riverrest remains small.
Riverrest is known for manners, humor, and stories that strike outsiders as odd. Their jokes often do not make sense beyond the village, and their stories rarely seem to offer a clear lesson or useful point.
Between Orma’aiqua and Riverrest lies a narrow natural trail through grass so tall it rises above travelers. Halfway to Riverrest, the grass ends and gives way to swampy woodland and marsh-forest.
Sea-elves from Orma’aiqua sometimes travel to Riverrest to acquire herbs from the area, though they greatly dislike the swamp.
South of Riverrest toward the mountains is largely unknown.
